The water here has that perfect turquoise color you see in postcards, and the beach isn’t overcrowded like some of the bigger resort areas. You can actually find a quiet spot to relax without feeling like you’re in a sardine can.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable — nothing fancy, but everything you need for a beach vacation. The air conditioning works well (trust me, that matters in this climate), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase. What I appreciated most was how quiet it gets at night — you can actually hear the ocean instead of traffic or construction noise. The bathroom is decent sized, and the shower has good water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of the Dominican Republic.

Dining & Amenities

The restaurant serves up solid Dominican and international dishes — nothing that’ll blow your mind, but the fresh seafood is really good, and they know how to prepare plantains just right. Breakfast has all the basics you’d want, plus some local fruits that are absolutely delicious. There’s a nice pool area where you can hang out when you need a break from the beach, and the spa offers some relaxing treatments that are reasonably priced. The whole property has this relaxed atmosphere where you can just be yourself.

What really sets this place apart is how it feels authentic rather than manufactured. You’re not staying in some massive resort complex where everything feels artificial — this is more intimate and personal.   – Grocery stores, take into account some of them are expensive in my opinion. Shopping at big malls could save you money regarding supplies, we shopped at Metro.
  – My host Ciro was very kind and willing to help, so were the staff.
  – 2 pools available.
  – Kitchen, for instance at nights, a coffee and a sandwich could save you money and time.

  Great location, 5 minute walk to the beach. Stores and restaurants on the same block. The room was very nice, spacious , safe and clean! I actually stayed an extra few days because I was pleased with the service. Amazing view from the roof top pool. The room has a full kitchen and everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Ciro was very friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend Ducassi for solo traveling and also families, there's plenty of space.
