You can walk to actual Dominican restaurants where families eat, not just resort buffets. Plus, there’s free parking right at the hotel, which might not sound exciting but trust me — when you’re trying to explore the area with a rental car, it’s a game-changer.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and comfortable, though definitely more functional than fancy. The air conditioning worked well (crucial in this climate), and the bed was surprisingly good for a mid-range place. What I appreciated most was the little balcony — nothing spectacular, but perfect for having morning coffee while planning the day. The bathroom was compact but had decent water pressure, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your time at the beach or exploring, you don’t need much more than a comfortable place to sleep and shower.

Food and Neighborhood Eats

The hotel has a small restaurant that serves solid Dominican basics — nothing fancy, but the fresh fish was actually really good. What I’d recommend though is walking around El Cortecito in the evenings. There are these little local spots where you can get incredible grilled chicken or fresh seafood for a fraction of what you’d pay at the resorts. The hotel staff gave me some great recommendations, and I mean, they knew exactly which places had the best food versus which ones were just tourist traps.

It’s a genuine base for exploring the real Punta Cana while still being comfortable and well-located. You’re close to beautiful beaches, but you’re also in a neighborhood where actual Dominicans live and work.   Staff were amazing, kind and professional. Breakfast was super great!!!! Rooms are comfy, large with AC and smart TV! Beach bar is amazing and customers can use sunbeads! My advice is maybe stay on the Green Coast Beach Hotel. It is more convinient. Overal great experience!!!
