This four-star property in Bavaro feels more like staying at a friend’s incredibly well-appointed vacation home than a typical hotel. The whole Cocotal development has this relaxed, residential vibe that immediately puts you at ease, and finding parking right on-site was such a relief after the drive from the airport.

The Space Itself

You know what really impressed me? The sheer amount of space you get here. We’re talking three actual bedrooms — not just a room with a pullout couch situation. The kitchen is fully equipped, which honestly saved us a fortune since eating out for every meal in Punta Cana can get pricey fast. I mean, there’s something really nice about making your morning coffee and sitting on the terrace before the day gets too hot. The whole place feels lived-in but polished, if that makes sense.

Pool and Golf Course Access

The pool area is where this place really shines — it’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized and never felt crowded during our stay. What I didn’t expect was how close we actually were to the golf course. You can literally walk out and be on the greens in minutes, which was a game-changer for my partner who’s obsessed with golf. Even if you’re not into golf (like me), the views are pretty spectacular, and it keeps the whole area feeling open and green rather than built-up.

Location and Getting Around

Bavaro is honestly one of the better spots to base yourself in the Punta Cana area. You’re close enough to the main hotel strip and beaches that nothing feels like a major expedition, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant crowds and noise. The Cocotal area specifically has this nice mix of vacation rentals and local life — there’s a decent restaurant within walking distance, and you’ll actually see Dominican families out with their kids in the evenings, which gives the whole place a more authentic feel than some of the resort bubbles.

Why Guests Love It

I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something really romantic about having your own private space with a pool, especially when you can wake up to golf course views. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you factor in the space, the location, and honestly, the value. You’re getting what feels like a vacation rental but with better amenities and that hotel-level cleanliness. Plus, having three bedrooms means you could easily split this with another couple or bring family along, which opens up a lot of possibilities. It’s one of those places where you actually want to spend time at the property instead of just using it as a place to crash between beach days.

  We liked everything. It is a quite confortable and secure first floor apartment.
  It was extremely clean and nice.
  We were impressed with the well equipped kitchen.
  Free powerful wi-fi signal and 2 big flat TV screens.
  One of the holes of Cocotal Golf Course is just behind the backyard.
  More important than those features, were the owner’s close guidance, kindness and willingness to answer and prompt solve any question. Diego is really the best!
  We are strongly willing to come back anytime we visit Bávaro-Punta Cana for playing golf.

  The space was great. We cooked in the morning. Grocery store very close. We had a driver that the host gave to us the entire stay. It was a beautiful spacious 3 bd that was perfect.

  Everything from the communication with the host to the swimming pool, it was absolutely perfect.
  There are 3 washrooms which helps a lot with 3 kids.
  The space is just perfect, we had our privacy, the guards were in olace 24h a day, we had the pool almost for us only as the other condos were empty. Our kids met some neighbours and had a great time playing together.
  Diego was awesome, always available to communicate and help us out as our luggage arrived 3 days after we landed in Punta Cana. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment and every room has a TV for evryone to enjoy his own shows. A well deserved 10/10
