First Impressions

When I first walked into Unique Club at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, I honestly wasn’t prepared for how elevated the whole experience would feel. This five-star property sits right on Playa de Bávaro, and you know what struck me immediately? The way they’ve managed to create this exclusive, adults-only atmosphere while still feeling warm and welcoming. The lobby has this sophisticated Caribbean elegance — think rich woods and marble, but not stuffy or overdone.

The Luxury Suite Experience

My room was actually more like a private retreat than just accommodation. The suites here are genuinely spacious, with separate living areas and those floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the ocean perfectly. I mean, waking up to that view of the turquoise water never gets old. The marble bathroom felt like a personal spa, complete with a soaking tub that I definitely used more than once. What really impressed me was the attention to detail — premium linens, a well-stocked minibar, and that little seating area on the balcony where I spent most evenings with a drink.

Beachfront Bliss in Punta Cana

The location in Punta Cana is honestly hard to beat. You’re right on one of the most beautiful stretches of Bávaro Beach, with that powdery white sand and calm, clear water that the Dominican Republic is famous for. I loved that there’s a golf course just a couple miles away if you’re into that, but really, you might not want to leave the resort grounds. The beach service here is top-notch — they’ll bring you fresh towels, cold drinks, whatever you need without you having to ask twice.

Dining and Daily Pleasures

Breakfast was actually one of my favorite parts of each day. The restaurant offers everything from continental classics to American favorites, plus they really know how to handle dietary restrictions — I saw excellent vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options that didn’t feel like afterthoughts. The fitness center is well-equipped if you want to work off all that good food, and there’s even a game room for those rare moments when you need a break from the sun. Free parking is available on-site, which is nice if you’re planning to explore the area.

Why Guests Love It

What sets this place apart is how it balances luxury with genuine relaxation. Couples especially seem to love it here — and I can see why, given how romantic the whole setup feels. The service is attentive without being intrusive, the amenities feel genuinely premium, and that beachfront location means you’re never more than a few steps from paradise. It’s the kind of place where you can completely disconnect from everything else and just focus on enjoying yourself, whether that means lounging by the water all day or taking advantage of the various activities they offer.

  Amazing buffet and a la carts restaurants, it didn’t feel like an all inclusive at all, I felt I was at a very expensive restaurant. The staff is super nice and always ready to help out and make sure your stay is the best it can be. Loved the pools and waterpark. Overal the best all inclusive I’ve been to in de Dominican Republic and I’ve been to quite a few. Definitely coming back again!

  The property was very nice, all newer facilities. Its a large property, you will get your steps in! There were a lot of food options available with average to above average quality of food. The "Boulevard" with all the different things to do there was nice to have for some entertainment at night, including the (small) casino. The Unique side of the beach was nice to have a secluded area. Victor, our butler, was very timely and took care of all of our requests as soon as possible. The gym is really big and has everything you need. There is a clinic and pharmacy on site with everything you need there.

  Lopesan was an extraordinary experience, we stayed for 6 days for our 7th anniversary in Unique side, 3rd floor, 3363, and since the day one we were treated kindly. The staff was really nice, front-desk, waiters, room services, bartenders, Marcela, Fannia, Arturo. Special thanks to our butler Daniel, was very caring person, added so much to our stay. The facilities are really new! There were so many pools, the beach front and the sun rises were amazing, the gym is huge, food was good (see dislike section). We truly enjoyed our vacations there and definitely come back again 🙂
  
  Our favorite places/moments were: the beach with some margaritas, the Unique breakfast (smoked salmon, little cream pastry and chocolate donuts), the foam party in the main pool and the Bavaro caffe.
